Mr. Petersen, 58, is SVP, Commercial Lending with First National Bank of Pasco. Immediately prior to joining FNB Pasco, Mr. Petersen co-founded a start-up concept frozen dessert restaurant known as Uptown Snoballs and was formerly SVP, Commercial Lending at Bank OZK (“OZK”). Prior to joining OZK, Mr. Petersen was SVP, Commercial Lending Team Leader at HomeBanc. Prior to HomeBanc, Mr. Petersen was the founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Capital Resources, LLC (“Keystone”), a bank consulting company providing financial products, services, and solutions to Florida community banks. Immediately prior to founding Keystone in 2010, Mr. Petersen was VP of Correspondent Lending Services for The Independent Bankers’ Bank of Florida—providing direct financing for de novo bank capital raises, purchasing loan participations, and providing liquidity lines of credit for Florida community bank holding companies.
Mr. Petersen started his banking career in 1985 as a teller while in college and graduated from Southeast Bank’s nationally recognized corporate credit and financial analysis training program in Miami, Florida. Since that time, he has held positions as a business banker, corporate lender, and commercial real estate lender with a number of national, regional, and community banks. Over the past twenty-five (25) years, Mr. Petersen has made St. Petersburg, Florida, home. Mr. Petersen served on the board of the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association and Leadership St. Pete’s planning committee, a division of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and was elected Chairman of Leadership St. Pete in 2013. He was a member of Eckerd College President’s Associates board of directors, past Vice President and board member of the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, and past Chairman and Co-Founder of the Interbay Peninsula Partnership. Mr. Petersen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the University of South Florida in 1988.
